What are the common classifications of nozzles?

There are many classification standards for nozzles. Nozzles can be classified according to their function, material, industry, and shape.

(1) According to the function of the nozzle, it can be roughly divided into: spray nozzles, oil spray nozzles, sandblasting nozzles, and special nozzles.

(2) According to the industry classification, it can be divided into: petrochemical nozzles, agricultural nozzles, textile nozzles, papermaking nozzles, printing nozzles, environmental protection (desulfurization, denitrification, denitrification, dust removal, etc.) nozzles, spray nozzles, steel metallurgical nozzles, electronic nozzles, and food nozzles.

(3) According to the material classification, it can be divided into: metal nozzles, plastic nozzles, alloy nozzles, and ceramic nozzles.

(4) According to the shape classification, it can be divided into hollow cone nozzles, solid cone nozzles, square nozzles, rectangular nozzles, elliptical nozzles, fan nozzles, column flow (direct current) nozzles, two-fluid nozzles, multi-fluid nozzles, etc.

The factors for selecting nozzles include flow rate, pressure, spray angle, coverage, impact force, temperature, material, application, etc., and these factors are often interrelated and mutually restricted. The performance of the nozzle is related to the materials, processes, and technologies used to manufacture the nozzle. However, in some special environments that require high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, the material performance requirements for the nozzle are extremely high.
