Selection of Gas Flow Meter

The gas flow meter is suitable for the measurement of natural gas, coal gas, liquefied petroleum gas, light hydrocarbon gas, nitrogen, oxygen and other gases. The gas flow meter uses imported bearings, which have a long service life, wide measurement range and high precision.
Gas flowmeter selection can be carried out according to five aspects: instrument performance, fluid characteristics, installation conditions, environmental conditions and economic factors. Various considerations are as follows:
1. Instrument performance: accuracy, repeatability, linearity, range, pressure loss, upper and lower flow limits, signal output characteristics, response time, etc.;
2. Installation conditions: pipeline layout direction, flow direction, upstream and downstream pipeline length, pipeline diameter, maintenance space, pipeline vibration, grounding, power supply, auxiliary equipment (filtration, sewage discharge), explosion-proof, etc.;
3. Environmental conditions: ambient temperature, humidity, safety, electromagnetic interference, etc.;
4. In terms of economic factors: purchase cost, installation cost, maintenance cost, calibration cost, service life, operation cost (energy consumption), spare parts, etc.
The gas flow meter selection steps are as follows:
1. Based on five factors, the available instrument types are initially selected;
2. Use the elimination method to select 2 to 3 types in the comparison, and arrange them in order;
3. Carry out careful evaluation according to five aspects again, and finally eliminate to one type of instrument.
