Oil and gas equipment should face the deep sea

Although the global energy crisis is getting worse and the competition among oil and gas extraction companies is becoming more and more fierce, Zhang Weiping believes that in order to help domestic oil and gas extraction companies to better cope with international competition, China's oil and gas technology equipment should focus on the following major areas :

 1. Facing the development trend of oil exploration in deep sea, deep stratum, desert, beach, alpine zone, tropical zone, and overseas, it is necessary to develop equipment suitable for the environment;

2. Petroleum development needs to develop into heavy oil, heavy oil, asphalt oil, oil sands, shale oil, high water cut and high sand oil and gas fields. It is necessary to develop corresponding acid, alkali, high temperature, high pressure equipment and solve related technical problems.

3. The development of natural gas will accelerate. The proportion of natural gas consumption in primary energy will increase from the current 2.6% to 7%. Long-distance pipeline construction and LNG transportation, storage, gasification facilities and small distribution equipment will be an emerging market worthy of attention by enterprises.

Zhang Weiping pointed out in particular that it should focus on the development of offshore oil and gas extraction equipment and improve China's deep-sea development capabilities to change the current uneven development of land and sea. He believes that China's deep sea oil and gas fields and seabed natural gas hydrate extraction urgently need high-tech extraction equipment. At present, offshore oil and gas production has accounted for 1/3 of the world's total output, and deepwater technology has been widely adopted in Brazil, West Africa and the Gulf of Mexico. The water depth of China is 300 meters and the area of Shanghai reaches 1.5 million square kilometers. The South China Sea and East China Sea are rich in oil and gas resources and natural gas hydrates. There is an urgent need to develop deep sea exploration and development equipment. Taking offshore drilling as an example, FMC Deep Sea Technology Company of the United States can already conduct exploration and mining on the seabed below 2 kilometers in depth, while China can only work at sea depths of up to 300 meters. The gap between the two is obvious. China currently urgently needs deep-sea oil drilling rigs, subsea chassis, underwater wellheads and underwater oil production maintenance equipment; mobile drilling and production platforms; floating production systems with water depths greater than 500 meters, subsea pipeline safety inspection and maintenance equipment (underwater robots); natural gas Hydrate exploration and recovery technical equipment; and corresponding positioning, communication, transportation guarantee, safety survival, environmental protection equipment.

At the same time, the current low level of integration of offshore platforms is also an urgent problem to be solved in China. Zhang Weiping believes that the materials and processing quality of the supporting equipment of China's offshore platforms are generally passable, but they lack integration, and this level of integration is required for offshore platforms. For high-end equipment, how to integrate multiple supporting products into a compact, high-quality product is crucial.
