LONDON, Nov. 27 (Reuters) - Iraq's Oil Ministry spokesman said Tuesday in Baghdad that Iraq had recently completed a regular oil contract for 2019, with 67% of its oil exports going to Asia.
In a statement, Asam Jihad, spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, said: "The proportion of Iraq's planned crude oil exports for next year is Asia (67%), Europe (20%) and the United States (13%).
Gerhard said that the Iraqi Ministry of Oil approved the quantity distribution of contracts handled by the National Organization for the Sale of Oil (SOMO).
These deals involve exports of Basra light crude oil, Basra heavy crude oil and Kirkuk crude oil. The Iraqi Ministry of Oil did not provide further details on the duration of the contract.
Regional demand for medium sulphur crude oil has increased.
